Searchlight’s Dark Web Intelligence innovations recognized for Enterprise Security Solution Award and Security Innovation of the Year
Portsmouth UK, March 01 2023
Searchlight Cyber, the dark web intelligence company, has been shortlisted for two awards at the UK’s prestigious Computing Security Excellence Awards 2023, which celebrate the cybersecurity industry’s leading innovations and individuals. Searchlight’s dark web intelligence products have reached the finalist stage for Security Innovation of the Year, while DarkIQ, the company’s unique dark web monitoring offering, has been recognized by the judging panel as a top Enterprise Security Solution.
Computing’s Security Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of the IT industry’s leading security companies, solutions, products, and personalities – those that keep society safe from cyber threats. For 2023, the awards were judged on functionality, competitive differentiation, and adoption. Winners are chosen by an expert panel of judges.
Searchlight’s dark web monitoring solution, DarkIQ, has been shortlisted for the Enterprise Security Solution award, a category which identifies the best enterprise-grade security solution at the bleeding edge of security requirements. DarkIQ draws on the world’s most comprehensive dark web dataset to give enterprises unprecedented visibility into cybercriminal activity on deep and dark web marketplaces, forums, and onion sites to inform their defenses. By helping enterprises to identify malicious activity while cybercriminals are still in the reconnaissance stage of their attack, DarkIQ is one of the leading sources of “pre-attack” threat intelligence on the market.
Searchlight’s market-leading dark web investigation and monitoring tools have been shortlisted for Security innovation of the Year, a category recognizing industry developments which demonstrate something truly new and original. Searchlight’s solutions are developed based on ground-breaking academic research into internet anonymizing technologies such as Tor, and have been used in some of the most high-profile dark web investigations to bring perpetrators to justice and prevent cyberattacks. They monitor, pre-empt, and prevent costly security incidents, and provide intelligence to allow defenders to gain the upper hand over criminals and malicious actors who believe they can act with impunity on the dark web.
“We are thrilled to have been recognized for our hard work and innovation in the cybersecurity industry, particularly by the Computing judging panel which brings together decades of experience and achievement in the cybersecurity space” said Ben Jones, Co-Founder and CEO, Searchlight Cyber. “We are proud of our achievements in providing vital dark web intelligence to our customers in an increasingly complex threat landscape.”
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in central London on Thursday 27 April. Click here to read the full shortlist.
